This Privacy Policy explains how ClashArena ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects information when you use clashchallenge.it and related services ("the Site"). We are committed to processing your data lawfully, fairly and transparently, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Italian data protection law.

In short: we collect the minimum data needed to run the platform — your wallet address and an optional nickname when you register. We never sell your data. Blockchain transactions themselves are public and outside our control, by design of the technology.

Who is responsible for your data

ClashArena is the data controller for information collected through the Site. You can contact us via Telegram: @clasharenaofficial or through our bot @ClashArena26Bot.

What data we collect

Data you provide directly

Nickname / display name — when you register on the Site
Wallet address — collected when you connect your wallet or register, used to identify your account and verify signatures

Data collected automatically

On-chain transaction data — publicly visible on the Ethereum blockchain when you use ClashSwap or interact with the $CLASH contract. This data is not controlled by us and is permanently public by the nature of blockchain technology
Technical data — such as browser type and general usage patterns, only if you accept optional analytics cookies (see our Cookie Policy)
Referral parameter — if you arrive via a referral link (?ref=), we store which referral brought you to the Site

How we use your data

To create and manage your account on ClashArena
To verify wallet ownership via signature (SIWE — Sign-In with Ethereum)
To operate features such as Priority Access, Trading Arena, Fantasy Football, staking and games
To communicate with you, including via our official Telegram bot, about your account or the platform
To improve the Site, only using aggregated and non-identifying analytics where you've consented to optional cookies

Where your data is stored

Registration data is stored in our database, provided by Supabase. All database operations are routed through our own backend (api.php) — we do not expose direct database access to the frontend. Supabase acts as our data processor and maintains its own security and compliance standards.

Legal basis for processing

Contract — processing your wallet address and nickname is necessary to provide the ClashArena service you request when registering
Consent — for optional analytics cookies, only where you've actively accepted them
Legitimate interest — for basic security and fraud prevention on the platform

Blockchain data is public by design

Any transaction you make through ClashSwap, or directly with the $CLASH smart contract, is recorded permanently on the Ethereum blockchain. This data is public, cannot be deleted or modified by us or by you, and exists independently of the Site. This is a core characteristic of blockchain technology, not a choice made by ClashArena.

Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data with:

Supabase — our database provider (data processor)
Telegram — if you interact with our bot (@ClashArena26Bot) or group (@clasharenaofficial), subject to Telegram's own privacy policy
Authorities, only where required by law

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the EU/EEA, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data (note: this cannot apply to on-chain blockchain records, which are permanent)
Object to or restrict certain processing
Request data portability
Withdraw consent for optional cookies at any time
Lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority (in Italy: Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali)

Data retention

We retain your registration data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to comply with legal obligations. On-chain data is permanent and outside our retention control.

Children's privacy

ClashArena is not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
